In the 1980s, the City of Prague Museum researched two significant La Tène burial sites in Prague-Jinonice and Prague-Ruzyně. More than a hundred of graves with skeletons in the supine position from the late 4th and early 2nd century BC have been uncovered. The buried individuals were often equipped with iron and bronze ornaments, and nearly half of the graves revealed men buried with weapons. The armour of Celtic warriors at that time consisted of a shield, a spear, and a sword, most often placed in a sheath and attached to a belt. Iron bracelets or fibulas were common pieces of warrior’s equipment.
